LHH is looking for a full-time Accounts Payable Accountant to join our client-growing company in Bellevue, WA. This position is open as a contract-to-hire or direct hire position, that will be fully onsite at our client location.

Job Overview:

The Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for managing and processing all vendor invoices and payments in an accurate and timely manner. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the company by ensuring that all accounts payable processes run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be detail-oriented, and have a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Invoice Processing:

    • Review and verify invoices and check requests for accuracy and compliance with company policies.

    • Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure accuracy.

    • Enter invoices into the accounting system for payment processing.

  • Vendor Management:

    • Maintain accurate vendor records, including contact details, payment terms, and tax information.

    • Communicate with vendors regarding discrepancies, missing documentation, and payment inquiries.

    • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding payment issues.

  • Payment Processing:

    • Prepare and process electronic transfers, ACH payments, and checks.

    • Ensure timely payment of invoices in accordance with payment terms and company policies.

    • Monitor discount opportunities and ensure they are properly utilized.

  • Expense Reports and Reimbursements:

    • Process employee expense reports, ensuring they comply with company policies and are properly documented.

    • Reconcile credit card statements and employee reimbursements.

  • Reconciliation and Reporting:

    • Reconcile accounts payable transactions with general ledger balances on a regular basis.

    • Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and financial reporting.

    • Prepare accounts payable reports for management as needed.

  • Compliance and Auditing:

    • Ensure all transactions comply with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements.

    • Assist with audit requests by providing documentation and explanations of transactions as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor???s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.

  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

  • Familiarity with 1099 reporting requirements and sales/use tax compliance.

Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation: $60K-$70K DOE
