We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Williamsville, New York. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be an integral part of our finance team, managing incoming invoices, ensuring payments are made in a timely manner, and maintaining accurate financial records.


Responsibilities


• Handle the processing of invoices, ensuring their accuracy and obtaining necessary approvals

• Prepare and execute payments through various methods such as checks, ACH, and wire transfers in a timely manner

• Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies that may arise

• Maintain up-to-date and precise accounts payable files and records

• Assist in the closing processes at the end of each month

• Professionally manage vendor inquiries and relationships

• Guarantee compliance with the company's financial policies and procedures

• Utilize accounting software systems, including Concur and ADP, to efficiently manage accounts payable

• Ensure accurate customer credit records using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

• Handle auditing tasks related to accounts payable.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in Accrual Accounting
• Auditing skills
• Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH)
• Familiarity with Apache Axis
• Experience with Concur
• Ability to perform Account Coding
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role.
