Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLHH Recruitment is partnering with a corporate office in Phoenix, AZ that is looking for a Temp Human Resources Assistant to assist with an HRIS migration from one database into another. This position will involve working closely with the HRIS team, IT department, and HR team to ensure accurate and secure transfer of employee files, payroll data, benefits information, and other critical HR records.

This is a full-time, onsite, Monday through Friday position. Pay range $23-$26 per hour depending on prior experience. 

Job Duties
  • Assist in planning and mapping out the migration process, ensuring all data fields from the current HRIS system are accounted for in the new system.
  • Identify any gaps or discrepancies in data and collaborate with HRIS team members to address them.
  • Work with stakeholders (HR, IT, Payroll, Benefits) to understand system requirements and specific data needs.
  • Extract employee data, including personal information, employment history, benefits, payroll, and other employee-related files from the existing HRIS.
  • Ensure the data extraction process follows organizational security protocols to maintain confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
  • Review and clean up extracted data to remove duplicates, inconsistencies, or outdated information.
  • Work with HRIS team to format data appropriately for the new system and ensure compatibility with the new platform’s database requirements.
  • Oversee the actual migration process by transferring data from the old HRIS into the new HRIS system.
  • Ensure data is accurately migrated, and no critical employee information is lost during the transfer.
  • Perform thorough validation checks post-migration to ensure all data is accurate, complete, and correctly mapped in the new system.
  • Coordinate with HR and other departments to verify that employee records are correctly populated in the new HRIS.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the migration process, including data errors, system integration issues, or user access concerns.
  • Provide support to HRIS users as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing HR operations.
  • Document the entire data migration process, including any issues encountered, resolutions implemented, and lessons learned.
  • Create user guides or training materials, if needed, for HR staff on how to navigate and access the new HRIS system.
  • Communicate regularly with the HRIS Manager, IT team, and HR department to provide updates on the progress of the migration.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth handover and transition once the migration is complete.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, High school diploma or equivalent. 

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with HRIS systems, with a focus on data management, in a Human Resources role is required.
  • Experience handling confidential files, paperwork, document management, and data integrity. 
  • HRIS experience with Paylocity, UKG or UltiPro is required.

Pay Details: $23.00 to $26.00 per hour
