Required Qualifications:

  • PMP Certification (Required).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical, or Project Management.

  • 7+ years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on utility relocation (Overhead and/or Underground) and/or civil construction projects.

  • Experience with public improvement projects, including road widening, bike lanes, and street light installations.

  • Proven ability to review contract proposals and manage vendor relationships.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage cross-functional teams.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mid-Level Project Manager to lead and manage projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have experience in utility projects (Electric, Gas, or Water) or civil construction, specifically managing facility relocations for municipalities, counties, or public improvement projects. In this role, you will oversee the relocation of electric utilities, both overhead and underground, through all phases: Design, Construction, and Close Out.

This is an exciting opportunity to take charge of complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the necessary quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation for utility relocation projects.

  • Lead project teams, coordinate activities, and ensure project goals are achieved, particularly for public improvement projects like road widening, new bike lanes, and new street lights.

  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or risks, and take appropriate action to ensure projects stay on track.

  • Review contract proposals from vendors and manage vendor relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, senior management, and external partners to provide regular updates on project status.

  • Manage project budgets, ensuring the relocation projects are completed within financial constraints.

  • Ensure projects are completed on time and adhere to established quality standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Lead project meetings, facilitate discussions, and drive decisions to ensure the timely delivery of all project components.

  • Maintain thorough project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.

  • Support the development and implementation of project management best practices and processes within the team and organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Electric, Gas, or Water utilities.

  • Familiarity with facility relocation projects, including managing the relocation of utilities for municipalities, counties, or public sector projects.

  • Familiarity with local government regulations and requirements in the context of public improvement projects.

  • Experience in the design, construction, and close-out phases of utility projects.

Pay Details: $67.00 to $68.00 per hour
