Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and supporting financial reporting. This role requires strategic thinking and strong leadership skills, along with the ability to collaborate across departments. The Accounting Manager will prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and lead the monthly close process for corporate and divisional entities.

Responsibilities:

Ensure timely and accurate closing of the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
Oversee regulatory filings and compliance requirements
Manage the monthly close process, including key account reconciliations, allowances, and journal entries
Provide financial analysis to support decision-making
Monitor and report on key financial metrics, identifying trends and improvement opportunities
Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and reporting requirements
Identify and mitigate risks in financial operations
Support internal control policies and initiatives
Coordinate external audits, providing documentation and support
Collaborate with finance, operations, and management to support organizational goals
Provide financial expertise for business decisions and strategic planning
Support private equity stakeholders with accurate financial information
Complete tasks accurately and safely
Uphold company policies and procedures
Maintain professionalism with all internal and external stakeholders
Perform other related duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility:
Oversee the recruitment, delegation, performance management, training, and development of staff accountants.

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Proven leadership and team development skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, Vlookup, macros, if statements, formulas)
Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to travel occasionally
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited university
CPA or CMA certification preferred
5-10 years of progressive accounting experience
