Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are in search of a Controller to join our team located in Wayzata, Minnesota. The Controller will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations and financial planning. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations with a particular focus on the accounting system, including accounts payable, payroll, inventory, fixed asset schedule, and general ledger.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the accounting system, including accounts payable, payroll, inventory, fixed asset schedule, and general ledger.
• Assist with payroll reporting and ensure accurate financial statements and reports are produced in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the development of meaningful metrics that measure the most significant aspects of the club.
• Ensure all licenses are kept up to date.
• Direct and verify the taking of inventories for food, beverages, and merchandise.
• Assist with fixed asset equipment scheduling for insurance purposes and facilitate successful audits.
• Champion the use of IT systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
• Lead end-of-month budget review sessions with various department heads to evaluate spending accuracy.
• Work closely with Finance Committee and Board of Trustees on financial matters, reporting, and analytics.
• Manage cash and Treasury functions while maintaining compliance with any bank covenants or other bank requirements.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.


• Degree in Accounting/Finance, or related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred, but not required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in MS Office suite and accounting software
