Facilities Manager – Prestigious Country Club in Tampa

Gecko Hospitality is conducting a search for an experienced and skilled Facilities Manager for a renowned country club located in the Tampa area. This exclusive club offers exceptional dining, recreation, and event services for its members, who are among the area's prominent social and business leaders.

Position Summary
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical operations of the club’s facilities and grounds, ensuring that all areas function smoothly and efficiently. This leadership role involves hands-on management of both the maintenance and housekeeping teams to maintain the club's high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Select, train, and manage maintenance and housekeeping staff.
  • Coordinate work schedules and ensure timely completion of all maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Manage procurement of parts and supplies for club operations.
  • Monitor and manage the budget for the maintenance department, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Oversee the maintenance of key facilities, including the swimming pool, HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and overall building upkeep.
  • Work with architects, contractors, and designers on renovation and construction projects.
  • Develop and maintain the club’s capital asset plan with assistance from outside vendors.
  • Attend staff and committee meetings as directed and undertake special projects as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in facilities management, particularly in a high-end or service-driven environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage long-tenured staff.
  • Excellent budgeting and cost control experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
