National Account Manager, MO-DME

As a National Account Manager, MO-DME, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and expanding our presence in the diabetes care market. This is a highly visible national field sales position that requires a strong understanding of our consumer products, including the revolutionary FreeStyle Libre Continuous Glucose Monitoring System.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute account-specific strategies to drive sales growth and expand our presence in the diabetes care market.
- Sell Abbott Diabetes Care's consumer products to strategic national and regional mail order distribution partners.
- Determine customer needs, develop account-specific strategies, create customer commitment to change, and implement training and in-service programs.
- Assess business impact of contracting opportunities, including overall profitability and impact on sales and margin.
- Understand and effectively utilize a broad range of financial and quantitative data and analysis.
- Provide product training for key account contacts in support of distributor's field and inside/outside salesforce activities.
- Ensure optimal contract value and efficient implementations/training.
- Four-year bachelor's degree in business administration or life sciences (including but not limited to biology, physiology, nutrition, and/or clinical chemistry).
- 5 years of proven successful sales track record at Abbott Laboratories. Will generally require 7 years of successful sales experience if candidate is from outside of Abbott Laboratories.
- Analytical ability, negotiation skills, and contract/legal experience.
- Ability to work with ancillary support groups such as Marketing, Contract Marketing, Credit/Finance and Account Sales & Service to develop account-specific solutions.
