The Senior Sales Executive plays a pivotal role in advancing our Service Agreements sector within the commercial Smart Buildings Total Fire Alarm & Life Safety Service team. This Sales team collaborates closely with our Operations team, which specializes in delivering fire and life safety services and maintenance for large commercial structures, including healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and industrial sites. Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed new order and profit targets based on assigned quotas.
  • Build and sustain a robust pipeline of opportunities, accurately forecasting expected order intake and consistently delivering on forecasted results.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the market landscape, including competitor offerings, customer needs, and decision-makers across various sectors and regions.
  • Develop a strategic market and account management plan aimed at growth, identifying new business opportunities in emerging markets or adjacent sectors.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to various levels within the customer organization, understanding their challenges and recommending tailored services to ensure optimal performance of their building systems.
  • Engage in industry-specific networking events and actively participate in professional organizations to expand your network and represent Siemens effectively.
  • Consult with clients to determine budgeting and investment needs.
  • Position Siemens as a leader in the service industry, leveraging our world-class digital service delivery as a key differentiator.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Work closely with internal sales support to maximize customer engagement.
  • Partner with sales estimators to prepare accurate cost estimates and bid packages.
  • Coordinate with other sales teams to identify and pursue new projects and accounts.
  • Set pricing based on the identified value of services offered to customers.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, legal, and other resources to secure sales.
  • Participate actively in sales meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay informed on market trends.
  • Spend a minimum of 50% of your time in customer-facing activities, both in-person and on-site.
  • Support existing customers while also pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Travel overnight approximately 10% for training and business development as needed.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • NICET Level I or II Fire Alarm Certification or the commitment to obtain certification within two years.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development within the commercial fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression, or life safety industries.
  • Proven experience in selling service agreements across various levels of customer organizations.
  • Familiarity with fire and life safety systems and equipment.
  • Knowledge of building safety inspection codes and standards.
  • Ability to estimate and sell technical solutions and service offerings independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or consulting within the commercial fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression, or life safety industries.
