This position focuses on the service, installation, upkeep, and evaluation of access control systems, including Gate Access Systems. Your role will ensure that all systems and components meet industry standards and align with operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Estimator Manager on Access Control project proposals as needed.
  • Install, disassemble, reconstruct, and program access and security systems or devices according to customer specifications.
  • Conduct testing and inspections of systems under maintenance contracts.
  • Efficiently troubleshoot and repair systems.
  • Make necessary connections and adjustments, verifying the functionality of all system components.
  • Perform site assessments as directed by management.
  • Maintain manuals and documentation with any advised modifications.
  • Report completed tasks, pending activities, or items requiring further attention to management.
  • Keep clients updated on job progress and completion status.
  • Accurately generate service and status reports.
  • Submit documentation promptly and accurately, recording travel and service times, identifying warranties, changes, and compliance issues.
  • Work independently on customer sites.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Education/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Relevant knowledge and experience in Access Control essential.
  • Technical school training preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications is necessary.
  • NICET Certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools competently.
  • Safe operation of a fleet vehicle is always required.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Undertake assigned duties, including Fire Alarm and Security System installations and maintenance.

Physical Demands:

  • May involve sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Ability to walk and stand is required.
  • Comfortable with reaching, climbing (ladder/stairs), and bending.
  • Verbal communication via telephone is necessary.
  • Capable of lifting and moving up to 60 pounds.
