Senior Auditor/Supervisor

We are seeking a seasoned financial professional to lead our audit team in our South Portland, Maine office. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of financial regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and lead audit projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and goals.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and development.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate audit risks, developing effective strategies to address potential issues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on audits.
  • Governmental or Nonprofit auditing/accounting experience is a plus.
  • CPA certification is preferred, but not required.
  • Candidates without a CPA license should be actively working towards obtaining their certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.
