Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Stone Coast Fund Services is seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to join our team as we embark on our next phase of growth. As a key member of our executive team, the CFO will be responsible for leading all financial aspects of the company and providing strategic guidance to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and oversee financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly GAAP and management financial reporting, as well as supplemental financial analyses to support business decisions.
  • Develop and implement tools and systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and operations teams to align financial strategies with business objectives and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Support the growth of the business through financial analysis of organic and inorganic growth opportunities.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to identify trends and risks, and provide recommendations to mitigate them.
  • Recruit and lead a high-performing team, fostering professional development, collaboration, and a culture of excellence in financial management.
  • Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including development and enforcement of internal controls, management of balance sheet items, and cash management and bill-paying activities.
  • Manage corporate banking relationships, ensuring that bank capabilities align with the company's current and future needs.
  • Manage corporate tax compliance, including liaising with tax preparers and counsel, and ensuring compliance with federal, international, and multi-state tax filing obligations.
  • Coordinate annual independent financial statement audits, ensuring preparation of all audit support and draft financial statements.
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of total experience, with a strong track record as CFO of a closely held high-growth company.
  • Proven ability to hire and lead accounting and finance teams through significant growth, adapting systems, processes, and people to enable successful scaling.
  • Experience in comparable positions with an investment manager, securities operations firm, or adjacent financial services firm preferred.
Education:
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or a related field of study; M.B.A., and/or C.P.A. are desirable.
