Job Overview
Century Group is seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join our team in Burbank. This role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled accountant to utilize their expertise in financial management, analysis, and accounting principles.

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Project Accountant to manage various financial tasks, including journal entries, accruals, general ledger account analysis, bank reconciliation, project billing, invoicing, cash flow monitoring, collections tracking, subcontractor invoice processing, ACH payments, check runs, and certified payroll processing (prevailing wages).

Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely journal entries and accruals
  • Analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Reconcile bank accounts to ensure proper financial reporting
  • Manage project billing and invoicing processes
  • Monitor cash flow and collections to ensure smooth financial operations
  • Track subcontractor invoices, process ACH payments, and handle check runs
  • Assist with processing certified payroll (prevailing wages)

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and GAAP knowledge
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
