About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) team in Seattle, WA, Denver, CO, Arlington, VA, Herndon, VA, and Columbia, MD. As a key member of our team, you will design and deliver cutting-edge artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to our customers in isolated, air-gapped cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver technology solutions that solve difficult problems related to AI/ML service builds and operations primarily in ADC partitions and regions.
  • Identify and solve ambiguous problems, architectural deficiencies, or areas where systems hinder the innovation of other teams.
  • Improve the resiliency, cost, performance, business, or customer value of AI/ML systems you own, enabling other builders through your work.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML service teams, influencing them to meet shared goals and raise awareness of ADC constraints.
  • Contribute to technical project definition, scoping, and prioritization discussions for AI/ML initiatives, working autonomously and seeking direction as needed.
  • Identify and mitigate extant risks in AI/ML systems you own, improving engineering and operational processes within your team and other teams.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
