Job Title: Superintendent - Concrete Placing and Finishing

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to lead our Concrete Placing and Finishing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the placement and finishing of concrete on various construction projects, ensuring high-quality results and meeting client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate concrete placing and finishing activities on assigned projects.
  • Supervise and train a team of concrete finishers and placers to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality of work.
  • Manage and maintain equipment, tools, and materials necessary for concrete placing and finishing operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project progress, including daily reports, safety records, and quality control documentation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in construction-related field desirable.
  • Vocational or technical training/work experience in construction required.
  • OSHA 10 and 30-Hour Certifications required; Powder Actuated Tool Certification desirable.
  • Valid driver's license required; All-Terrain Material Handler Certification desirable.
  • ACI certified Flatwork Technician/Finisher preferred; NRMCA Pervious Concrete Technician preferred.
  • Ability to work at heights, wear fall protection harness, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Working Conditions:

  • Outdoors frequently; indoors sometimes.
  • Loud noise frequently; temperatures seasonal.
  • Personal Protective Equipment required at all times.
  • Multi-activity worksites frequently; traveling/out of town frequently.
  • 40 to 65-hour work week frequently; heights and depths frequently.
  • Client, supplier, employee interactions frequently; varying work shifts frequently.
