Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
  • Team Leadership and Supervision
    • Lead and supervise a team of concrete placing and finishing professionals, including foremen and laborers.
    • Provide guidance, training, and coaching to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Ensure that all concrete placing and finishing work meets the highest quality standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
  • Safety and Risk Management
    • Develop and implement safety plans to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular safety training and drills to ensure team members are aware of potential hazards.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as estimating and operations, to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in concrete placing and finishing, with a strong background in project management and supervision.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Knowledge of construction safety protocols and regulations.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • OSHA 10 and 30-Hour Certifications.
    • First Aid/CPR Certification.
    • Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions
  • Work is performed in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • May be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
