We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Service Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and maintenance services for our customers' fire alarm systems and other related building systems.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and respond to service calls from our Service Resource Center, including diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fire alarm systems and other related building systems, including SimplexGrinnell systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure accurate and efficient service delivery.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communication to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Participate in on-call rotations and assist in training and mentoring other team members.
- 2+ years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.
- Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and overnight travel may be required.
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service and maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
- Able to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
- Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
- Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
