Job Summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler System Specialist to join our team in Austin, TX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on fire sprinkler equipment and systems, including installing new systems and upgrading existing ones.
  • Service and inspect wet, dry, and pre-action fire suppression systems.
  • Install and maintain fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Test and repair alarm systems, and perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code.
  • Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues and reporting results of work completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Protect and maintain company equipment, including vehicles and warehouse equipment.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems, preferably in a commercial or residential setting.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office or job site.
  • Must be flexible with scheduling requirements, including evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments.
  • Requires the ability to display knowledge of principles and practices of fire safety, codes, and regulations related to the work.
  • Requires the ability to maintain accurate records and reports, and understand and follow oral and written directions.
