Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiovascular Catheterization Laboratory at Alaska Regional Hospital. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting with invasive cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures.

About the Job

  • This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Registered Nurse with a strong background in critical care and/or ICU experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting or equivalent experience in Emergency Room/ICU.
  • You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient lab operations.
Responsibilities

As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing assistance with all testing and therapeutics that take place in the Cath Lab, including cardiac catheterizations, EP device therapies, and endovascular procedures.
  • Facilitating effective communication among departmental staff to ensure interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care.
  • Assisting patients through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and hemostasis following removal of catheter or sheath.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant patient records.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Current nursing license in good standing.
  • Associate's Degree in nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
  • 2-3 years of Cath Lab experience or equivalent experience in Emergency Room/ICU.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS).

Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
