We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cath-Lab Nurse to join our team at Alaska Regional Hospital.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for assisting with all invasive cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures, demonstrating clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care.
  • As part of our team, you will facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care, using appropriate SBAR process for hand-off communication.
  • You will assist patients through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and hemostasis following removal of catheter or sheath, and return to room. You will manage emergent cases.

About the Qualifications:

  • A current nursing license in good standing is required, along with an Associate's Degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred). Two to three years of Cath Lab experience, with Emergency Room/ICU experience preferred.
  • Additionally, American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification are required, as well as Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS).
