Social Service Technician II/CDL Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Service Technician II/CDL Driver to join our team at TransForce. As a key member of our transportation and outreach team, you will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation services to our clients, while also assisting with outreach and social services activities.
Responsibilities:
- Transportation: Adhere to driving policies as determined by the Director, keep a daily sheet of people served, and turn it in weekly. Assist passengers in getting on/off vans, offer physical assistance to passengers in need, and carry bundles for shopping trip passengers.
- Outreach: Provide outreach services, including delivery of library books, pick up/drop off medical equipment, food shopping for shut-ins, and referrals as needed from the Police/Fire Department.
- Van Maintenance: Maintain accurate records on all repairs to the van, perform routine checks, and report deficiencies/problems with vehicles to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid and current MA CDL - Class B - Passenger Endorsement Driver's License and a driving record that proves responsible and lawful driving habits.
- Must be a high school graduate or have an equivalent degree.
- Must have 5 years' experience working with the elderly or an Associate's Degree.
- College degree in a related field is a plus.
- Must have good organizational skills and be able to relate well to others and work as a team player.
