Job Summary:

Benchmark Building Solutions, Inc. is a leading commercial construction firm dedicated to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

The Commercial Construction Bid Coordinator plays a crucial role in the construction bidding process, ensuring the timely and accurate submission of bids for commercial construction projects.

This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders including project managers, estimators, subcontractors, and clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Bid Solicitation: Identify potential commercial construction projects suitable for bidding, research bid opportunities through various channels, communicate with clients, architects, and engineers to gather project information and bid requirements, develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for bid participation.
  • Bid Preparation: Review project plans, specifications, and other bid documents to understand project requirements, collaborate with estimators and project managers to develop accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment, organize bid documents including prequalification forms, bid bonds, and subcontractor quotes, ensure compliance with all bid requirements and deadlines.
  • Bid Submission: Prepare and submit bids to CEO for approval according to project timelines and specifications, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather required bid documents and pricing, verify accuracy and completeness of bid packages before submission, follow up with clients to confirm receipt of bids and address any questions or clarifications.
  • Bid Tracking and Analysis: Maintain a database of bid opportunities, including tracking bid results and feedback, analyze bid outcomes to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities, provide feedback to the estimating team to enhance bid accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain organized records of all bid-related documents and correspondence, generate reports on bid activity, including bid volume, success rates, and profitability, prepare summaries and presentations for internal review meetings.
  • Cold Calling: Identify potential clients, such as property developers or businesses planning new projects, gather relevant information about their needs and previous projects to tailor your approach, develop a clear, professional script that introduces your company, highlights your experience, and outlines the benefits of your services.

  • Construction estimating: 3 years (Required)
  • Sales: 1 year (Preferred)

Salary Range: $52,000 - $58,000 per year
