About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Department Assistant to join our Behavioral Health team at Texas Health Resources. As a Department Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our department, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the department, including managing supplies, purchasing, mail distribution, and filing correspondence or documents.
  • Greets and acknowledges walk-in customers immediately, providing appropriate and adequate resolution to meet customer service expectations.
  • Maintain various department schedules, mail or visitor logs, or mailing lists, and provide additional administrative or clerical assistance for events or projects.
  • Use various word processing software applications to manage calendars, schedule meetings, process forms, produce standard reports, and correspondence.
  • May provide various administrative clinic services, including charge capture, admissions, scheduling, insurance verification, and payment receipts.
