Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct psychiatric care to offenders assigned to outpatient facilities.
  • Work under the direction of the Director of Mental Health Services.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment of offenders with mental health issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each offender.
  • Provide education and training to offenders on mental health topics.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance mental health services.

Requirements:

  • Eligible for Board Certification in Psychiatry.
  • Current full/unrestricted Texas Medical License.
  • Residency training in psychiatry.
