Position Summary:
This role serves as the Fire Financial Specialist and Supervisor for the FMAG (Fire Management Assistance Grant) within the Forestry Division. The incumbent will coordinate and oversee all financial aspects of FEMA FMAG packages, analyze and audit fire-related expenditures, and act as a technical expert and liaison on financial matters related to FMAG.
Key Responsibilities:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the preparation and coordination of FMAG packages, providing consultation on financial aspects to agency staff and partners.
- Conducting audits and analyses of FEMA FMAG packages, ensuring compliance with federal guidelines and regulations.
- Reviewing and verifying fire fiscal transactions, ensuring accuracy and integrity of accounting data.
- Managing the development and maintenance of internal accounting systems to report on fire program expenses.
- Coordinating statewide fire contracting and procurement activities to support fire programs while adhering to regulations.
