As a Director at Draper Labs, you will have the opportunity to lead the Production and Supply Chain activities for the Strategic Guidance Development Business Area. This includes management of ongoing production efforts as well as the strategic planning, industry partnership development, and execution of future programs.

With a strong background in program management and technical expertise, you will be responsible for cost, schedule, and performance from component procurement to system level assembly for exquisite high-mix low volume products.

You will also be required to coordinate activities in the Production area with the rest of the Navy Strategic Systems directorate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of program managers in the execution of the assigned portfolio to include mentorship and career development.
  • Oversee the development of complex proposals of large scope and oversee the execution of all assigned programs.
  • Develop a portfolio strategy to include development of the opportunity identification, competitive analysis, alignment of Draper's capabilities, and engagement plans.
  • Contribute to Draper Intellectual Property position or discriminating technology portfolio that transcends project contributions in one or more areas of technical discipline.
  • Implement program management policies to ensure effective proposal development and project execution.
  • Manage to budget and schedule while developing and implementing work plans for portfolio execution.
  • Reports results and issues to senior management and cross-functional organizations.

Estimated Salary:** $120,000 - $160,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.

About the Role:

This role requires a Master's degree or above in a relevant technical field of study, or MBA. Technical knowledge and skills gained through professional work experience are also essential.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of functional or program management experience, including 5 years experience in personnel management.
