About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Representative to join our team at HNTB. As a Construction Representative, you will play a critical role in supporting our construction projects by providing field and office support, resources, and expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field Support: Assist with construction field work tasks and activities to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
  • Office Support: Perform office management engineer work, including preparing meeting agendas and minutes, tracking logs for RFIs, submittals, pay estimates, and other deliverables.
  • Quality Control: Coordinate and schedule quality control inspections, observe on-site material testing, and coordinate testing and monitoring services.
  • Documentation: Prepare reports on construction progress, review contractor's daily construction reports for accuracy, and review contractor's as-built mark-ups.
  • Communication: Consult with Resident Engineers on work progress and construction problems, and act as a liaison with the engineer of record.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of construction engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria; basic math skills; and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Level 1 or Construction Manager-in-Training (CMIT).
  • Software Skills: Trained in digital construction management software such as Constructware, Asite, or similar.
