Business Analyst I Opportunity

Unum Group is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst I to join our Total Leave Team. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in working with our agile team and Product Owner to define and document acceptance criteria. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the solutions delivered are of high quality by collaborating with your agile team members and leveraging appropriate elicitation/documentation practices for the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a holistic understanding of the IT Delivery roadmap and track any changes to the roadmap to ensure alignment in the backlog tooling.
• Ensure that Product or adoption KPIs identified can feasibly be measured and tracked within development and delivery activities, ensuring key data points are identified and included from the outset within the scope of the agile teamwork.
• Maintain a holistic understanding of relevant client personas and use these personas to refine work items to develop shared understanding across the Agile Team of the client needs.
• Ensure integrity of work items as they are broken down and refined throughout the hierarchy of work items in the product backlog.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner and relevant subject matter experts to define concise and effective user stories with precise and accurate acceptance criteria for a user story on a just-in-time/just-enough basis that will be used by the team and Product Owner to ensure that stakeholder and Product Owner intent is effectively captured and developed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years' experience working as part of an agile team.
• Passionate about the business direction, priorities, results, and customer experience.
• Demonstrated good analytical abilities.
• Takes a logical, analytical approach to problem-solving and pays close attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Agile Development Methodologies.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented.
• Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong written communication skills to document and communicate requirements.

What We Offer:

• Competitive salary range: $60,500.00-$123,400.00.
• Comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare benefits, insurance benefits, performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not.
