Schnitzer Steel Industries Inc is seeking an experienced Oracle Business Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Oracle team, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day production support activities related to Oracle EBS system and other business processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support users by troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Oracle EBS and various other applications in collaboration with end-users, Help Desk, technical and other functional resources as well as external support providers.
  • Create and maintain process documentation and knowledge base.
  • Build test scenarios or test cases for functional testing, coordinate regression testing for issue resolution or new functionalities.
  • Develop functional requirements or specification documents based on user requirements or issues.
  • Monitor and manage various critical interfaces to ensure data issues are resolved in a timely manner by working with various cross-functional groups and IT.
  • Identify and assist with automation of repetitive tasks for efficiency gains.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct work experience as an analyst capacity working with business systems and support.
  • Understanding of Financial Accounting Systems like General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, etc. as well as Supply Chain Systems for e.g., Procurement, Inventory, etc.
  • Prior knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) is required.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments and end-users.
  • Exposure to change management and SOX controls will be beneficial.
  • Basic SQL (Structured Query Language) knowledge preferred.
