As a Senior Technical Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering technical assistance for issues related to the Databricks Platform, addressing challenges associated with the unified analytics platform. Your role will involve guiding customers through their Databricks experience, equipping them with the necessary insights and knowledge to derive value and meet their strategic objectives using our solutions. Customers will rely on your expertise for a range of inquiries, from fundamental technical queries to intricate architectural challenges across the Big Data landscape. You will report to the Senior Manager of Technical Solutions. This position is hybrid.
Your Contributions:
- Diagnose and resolve intricate customer challenges linked to the Databricks platform.
- Offer best practices support for tailored solutions developed by Databricks clients.
- Provide recommendations for enhancing performance in client-specific environments.
- Assist with challenges related to third-party integrations within the Databricks ecosystem.
- Collaborate with engineering and escalation teams to ensure timely resolution of customer inquiries and requests.
- Engage in the development and upkeep of company documentation and knowledge resources.
- Act as a strong advocate for customer needs.
- Enhance your expertise in AWS/Azure and the Databricks platform through continuous learning and internal training initiatives.
- Participate in on-call rotations during weekends and weekdays.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in designing, building, testing, and maintaining applications using Python/Java/Scala, with a strong emphasis on Python.
- Proficient experience with SQL-based databases is essential.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with Hadoop/Spark in an administrative, development, or support capacity is required.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure platforms.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English are necessary.
- Experience in a Distributed Big Data Computing environment.
- A technical degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Compensation Transparency:
Databricks is dedicated to equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is outlined below and represents the base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages will depend on various factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, experience, relevant certifications, and specific work location. Databricks utilizes the full width of the range based on these factors. The total compensation package may also include eligibility for an annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
Local Pay Range: $102,400 — $181,200 USD
