Job Summary

Providence College seeks an experienced professional to oversee the College's regional alumni engagement program. The successful candidate will serve as a liaison and resource person for all regional alumni clubs and networks, engaging in recruitment and training of volunteers, identifying opportunities for marketing and communication programming, and travel to support select regions and events.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive strategy to increase alumni engagement through regional activity across the country.
• Partner with each alumni club board to ensure a shared understanding of guidelines, provide any necessary training, oversee and support succession planning, communicate college priorities and news with regularity, and actively recruit new volunteers.
• Maintain a comprehensive calendar of events, provide event materials, write briefings, as well as create campaigns and event listings in the college's CRM to track attendance, as needed.
• Support efforts of the Alumni Relations team in helping to qualify unassigned alumni through planned I: I visits during travel, follow up post events, and outreach to encourage engagement. Record all attempts in CRM to track outreach and progress.
• Meet with regional leaders to strategize, train, and identify new opportunities to strengthen alumni engagement. Engage the Regional Liaisons of the National Alumni Association Council with clubs and leverage their leadership to advance regional activity. Manage budgets for the year based on programming and initiatives within each region.
• Create and develop various digital and social media communications in concert with Marketing and Communications to aid in promoting engagement events and activities, recognizing alumni contributions, and creating awareness of college plans and initiatives.
• Assist with planning, implementing, and managing major campus-oriented annual and special events for alumni.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum of three years' experience in alumni relations, public relations, event planning or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Good technology skills and knowledge of software applications used in advancement work.
• Extensive overnight travel required.
