Weapons Maintenance Assistant

Job Responsibilities
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking applications for a part-time position as a Weapons Maintenance Assistant. The selected individual will support the Armorer in the upkeep, repair, distribution, return, and oversight of all firearms and specialized equipment utilized by the Corps of Cadets.
Key Duties Include:
- Meticulously ensuring compliance with U.S. Army regulations while collaborating with designated Army personnel to protect all firearms.
- Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb stairs, as well as lift 10-pound rifles repeatedly from elevated racks for extended periods.
- Possessing the manual dexterity and upper body strength necessary to operate various weapon mechanisms effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must successfully pass a background check.
Additional Considerations:
- Previous military experience is highly regarded.
