Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance. This is a key role that requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in reviewing contracts and negotiating revisions with vendors and suppliers.
  • Requisition supplies and materials to complete engineering projects.
  • Confer with the Director of Operations to discuss and resolve matters related to work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
  • Assist with planning, organizing, and directing activities concerned with the maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Assist in developing and implementing quality control programs.
  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
  • Experience in utility systems.
  • Assist in maintaining communications with the Information Technology team and resolving service interruptions.
  • Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.
  • Perform daily walk-throughs to ensure full compliance with Department of Health and City regulations.
Requirements
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and formulate new directions or course of action to achieve the goal.
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision and still complete tasks at hand.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • 2 years or more of progressive hotel or building maintenance experience preferred, but not required.
  • Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Must be reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
