Assessment and Planning:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their unique needs and develop individualized plans of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate interdisciplinary plans of care.
Implementation and Evaluation:
- Administer treatments and medications accurately and document them in electronic medical records.
- Provide patient and family education, incorporating identified needs into the plan of care.
Advocacy and Support:
- Demonstrate the role of patient advocate, protector of patient rights, and provider of psychological, social, and cultural support.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a school of professional nursing or an approved program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
- Obtain CPR and as needed ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications.
- Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC) and successful completion of orientation and competency requirements.
