As a Radiology Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive array of nuclear medicine diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures, ensuring the delivery of optimal information for patient diagnosis and treatment.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
For specific locations:
  1. Possession of a current Nuclear Medicine license as mandated by the relevant medical imaging and radiation therapy regulatory body.
  2. Registration with the ARRT or NMTCB as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is required.
  3. Certification in Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

CORE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Engaging in departmental meetings and activities to foster progress, improvement, and team cohesion.
  2. Contributing to the planning and execution of changes aimed at maintaining and enhancing high-quality, cost-effective departmental operations.
  3. Executing a full spectrum of nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging and treatment procedures to provide essential information for patient diagnosis and treatment.
  4. Planning and conducting imaging procedures to generate medical images that meet departmental quality standards as established through professional literature and departmental protocols.
  5. Minimizing radiation exposure to patients and staff in accordance with established safety policies and guidelines.
  6. Promptly reporting any equipment malfunctions to ensure the continuity of radiology services.
  7. Assessing patient needs related to comfort, hygiene, and mobility, and providing appropriate support.
  8. Serving as a clinical and/or instructional mentor, adhering to the quality standards of the radiology education program.
