Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified adjunct faculty member to teach Cybersecurity and Network Administration courses at South Puget Sound Community College. The successful candidate will have a strong background in information technology and the ability to engage students in a dynamic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and facilitate contextualized and integrated learning experiences in Cybersecurity and Network Administration.
  • Teach classes during the daytime hours, evenings, and weekends, as well as online and hybrid courses.
  • Develop authentic assessments of students' knowledge, skills, and abilities in Cybersecurity and Network Administration.
  • Apply multiple teaching and learning strategies to promote student success.
  • Support students in and out of the classroom, including directing them to student support services and resources.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or an Associate's degree in Information Technology with two years of industry-related experience.
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft and Linux servers, Cisco network routers and switches, virtualization, and latest penetration testing software.
  • Minimum of two years of recent and relevant work experience in an information technology field and/or providing information technology instruction at the post-secondary level.
  • Demonstrated experience or participation with persons from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to an inclusive and equitable working/learning environment.
