About this Opportunity

This position is part of the State Data Center (SDC) Physical Security team within the Technology & Operations (T&O) division. State agencies rely on the SDC for support of and access to non-stop operations of the government's most critical information systems and communications networks.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out the security badging process and facilitate the creation, renewal, expiration, and deletion process of security badges.
  • Schedule access orientations and appointments and coordinate new authorized individual walkthroughs.
  • Provide oversight and high-level document control management of physical security access control documents in accordance with WaTech retention records policies.
  • Create and maintain documents for the State Data Center and remote sites to provide access verifications.
  • Review badging logs and ensure procedures related to orientations, badging, and access have been followed.
  • Identify and schedule required maintenance with WaTech services or preapproved security systems vendors pertaining to break-fix, updates, or replacement requests.
  • Work with WaTech Space Management group to proactively confirm accurate access permissions for ongoing projects with all Moves, Adds or Changes (MACs) that relate to access within the SDC or supported areas.
  • Maintain data center external agency approving authority contact list through yearly access audits using Microsoft Office Suite application.
  • Work with Physical Security Manager (PSM) to complete mandated reoccurring access audits.
Requirements
  • Four years of experience in physical security.
  • Two or more years of demonstrated knowledge and understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field of physical security.
  • Two years of work history that demonstrates customer support functions such as: responding through various communication methods to customer inquiries, providing customer issue resolution, and supporting customer focused improvements.
  • One year of experience scheduling/supporting vendor work for troubleshooting/ issue identification of system issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Formal training or certification in FEMA Critical Infrastructure protection Courses: 1S-913.a, IS-1S860.c, IS-915, IS-916.
  • Industry recognized Physical Security certifications such as PSP, CPP etc.
