POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled professional for the position of Technology Coordinator. Reporting directly to the Salesforce, Systems and IT Manager, the Technology Coordinator will oversee the management and upkeep of our IT systems across multiple locations. This role is crucial in ensuring the effectiveness of our IT infrastructure, implementing appropriate technological solutions in line with our standards, and conducting research and development to keep our IT solutions current.

The primary goal of IT management is to create value through technology. The Technology Coordinator will assist in formulating IT strategic plans, supervising network and user security, managing data backups, and overseeing online applications. Furthermore, this role may involve planning and coordinating larger projects, such as hardware and software installations and upgrades. Troubleshooting issues and provisioning new equipment will also be key responsibilities.

Given the collaborative nature of this role, strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. The ability to work effectively with colleagues and build consensus is vital for success in this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Systems and Technology Solutions (25%):
    Ensure the organization operates effectively by maintaining the necessary technology to support strategic objectives. Monitor IT system performance, provide recommendations for enhancements, and collaborate with teams to build technical capacity.
  • Systems and Technology Maintenance (40%):
    Assess current technology usage and recommend improvements. Oversee operational budgets, troubleshoot IT issues, and maintain essential IT operations including software, hardware, and security tools.
  • Systems and Data Security (15%):
    Implement disaster recovery and backup procedures, develop business continuity protocols, and maintain cybersecurity training programs.
  • Team Collaboration (10%):
    Contribute to the overall health of the organization through teamwork, supporting the mission, and engaging with all team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of IT security practices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and problem-solving.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting. A bachelor's degree in computer science is advantageous.
