Job Overview

Position Summary
National Power, LLC is in search of a skilled Electrical Technician. Reporting to the Broadband Service Manager, you will be integral in the installation, diagnosis, and maintenance of electrical systems across various environments.

The successful candidate will demonstrate not only technical proficiency but also a collaborative spirit, a proactive mindset, and a strong commitment to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties are essential to the role. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and rectify issues in commercial and industrial electrical systems.
  • Expertly connect electrical panels, circuit breakers, and transformers, ensuring adherence to electrical standards and regulations.
  • Interpret and implement electrical schematics and manufacturer guidelines to fulfill project specifications accurately.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical and grounding systems, including measuring and documenting voltages, amperages, and resistances. Utilize thermal imaging technology to identify and address potential concerns.
  • Assess electrical components for deterioration and corrosion.
  • Effectively troubleshoot electrical systems and devices, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all job-related activities, including project reports and installation records, and submit them to the local management.
  • Collaborate with team members, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless coordination and execution of electrical projects.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines, fostering a culture of safety awareness during all electrical operations.
Qualifications

Education & Experience
• High school diploma or GED; completion of a four-year electrical apprenticeship is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial electrical installation, encompassing Tenant Improvements (TI's) and Ground-Up Construction from initiation to completion.

Skills & Competencies
• Strong communication skills, capable of providing verbal and written updates on job status, repair suggestions, and necessary equipment/supplies.
• Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record; the role requires travel to job sites, including overnight stays as needed, with accommodations and meal allowances provided by the company.
• Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft software such as Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, and Adobe (PDFs).

The technician will operate remotely, ensuring proper vehicle maintenance, managing required parts inventory, and securing company property, including cell phones, laptops, specialty tools, and other assigned items.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary based on experience and certifications, with overtime compensation at 1.5 times the base rate.
  • Three weeks of paid vacation after 90 days of employment (first year is pro-rated based on start date).
