Role Summary:

This Cargo Operations Specialist position operates within a warehouse setting, assisting customers with their cargo requirements, including responding to inquiries, calculating cargo rates, initiating and finalizing cargo bookings, and conducting security screenings.


Key Duties:

  • Assist clients with shipping requirements (e.g., air cargo transactions, airway bill preparation, rating, acceptance, load planning, filling, tracing, and telephone inquiries) in a warehouse environment.
  • Receive and distribute airfreight, equipment, mail, and products within the cargo facility.
  • Utilize various work aids, including computers, carts, dollies, pallets, hand trucks, and forklifts.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills:

Required:
  • A minimum of 1 year of customer service or community service experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Capability to learn and operate a computerized cargo system.
  • Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
  • Ability to consistently lift 70 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to bend, squat, stoop, reach, and grasp.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to participate in paid training that may require overnight travel.
  • Ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification.
  • Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
  • Proficiency in English communication.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

USD $18.27/Hr.
