GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Beauty Sales Specialist - Lancme (BSS - Lancme) plays a pivotal role in driving sales for the Lancme brand, which encompasses color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance. This position involves engaging with customers to understand their unique needs, guiding them in selecting and purchasing products, and upholding store standards, including cleanliness and product availability. The BSS - Lancme embodies the image, offerings, and ethos of Ulta Beauty and the Lancme brand, while supporting the Experience Manager (EM) through a focus on performance, people, and processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The BSS - Lancme is a passionate advocate for Ulta Beauty's mission and values, consistently demonstrating them through the following duties:

Performance
  • Achieve or surpass sales and client engagement targets for the Lancme brand, contributing to the overall success of the store.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by warmly greeting every guest, tailoring service to their preferences, offering samples, and suggesting complementary products.
  • Conduct makeup applications, skincare assessments, and product demonstrations for guests.
  • Stay informed about the latest training opportunities to enhance category performance.
  • Schedule appointments and assist in executing services and in-store events that provide an unparalleled guest experience while meeting sales objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, actively engaging with a growing clientele for Lancme brand sales.
  • Proactively stay updated on industry trends, products, and services to better assist guests.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
People
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative atmosphere that supports colleagues and guests alike.
  • Educate guests about the benefits of the loyalty program and the Ulta Beauty app.
  • Build strong partnerships with Lancme brand representatives through training and event execution.
  • Collaborate with store management and team members to drive business growth.
  • Engage in ongoing training to facilitate professional development and enhance Lancme brand sales.
Process
  • Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Adhere to the dress code, including wearing brand-specific attire as required.
  • Maintain high operational standards, ensuring cleanliness and organization in the Lancme area and throughout the store.
  • Participate in merchandise resets, marketing displays, and inventory processes.
  • Protect company assets by following best practices in loss prevention while delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Complete additional operational tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education
  • Preferred high school diploma.
  • Cosmetology or demonstrator license as required by state regulations.
Experience
  • Preferred experience in cosmetics artistry.
Skills
  • Proven competency in sales, product knowledge, and customer service.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in managing guest concerns and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Participation in brand-sponsored training sessions.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Frequent mobility required during shifts.
  • Regular standing, bending, and reaching activities.
  • Continuous lifting or moving of items up to 10 lbs.
  • Ongoing coordination and manipulation of products during shifts.
