As a Training Specialist, your primary focus will be on achieving financial targets by securing new clients, expanding current relationships, and guiding customers through their training and certification experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and strengthen business relationships while acquiring new clients within designated sectors by promoting training and certification solutions.
- Surpass financial objectives, including sales bookings and revenue generation.
- Collaborate directly with clients, both in-person and virtually, to design and implement their training and certification strategies.
- Maintain regular communication with senior customer executives to integrate training solutions into large-scale deals.
- Work alongside partners to amplify Red Hat's training initiatives.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts, ensuring successful closure.
- Oversee the usage and renewals of Red Hat Learning Subscription.
- Manage sales forecasts, prepare quotes, scope proposals, finalize agreements, and track relevant data through the internal learning management system.
- Collaborate extensively with cross-functional sales teams and partners to drive business growth.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on training and certification for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide strategic insights to enhance the training portfolio and its market approach.
- Promote and sell training solutions and services, leveraging available promotions and bundles to maximize revenue.
- Identify and develop comprehensive training plans for key enterprise accounts.
- Generate new training business opportunities and upsell to current clients.
- Support ongoing IT transformation initiatives within local accounts.
- Assist and mentor local sales, pre-sales, and channel teams regarding training offerings and processes.
- Identify opportunities for training integration in subscription services that initially do not include training.
- Refine and implement best practices for training sales.
- Contribute to RFIs/RFPs to include training and certification offerings.
- Collaborate with local services teams to align training offerings with service solutions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in sales and business management with a proven track record of success.
- Exceptional communication skills to engage with management and decision-makers at all levels.
- Experience in client interactions with strong in-person customer engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and in partnership with sales teams to drive account growth.
- Proficient presentation skills demonstrated through client meetings.
- Familiarity with SFDC or similar customer relationship management systems.
- Proficient in office software suites, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and LibreOffice.
- Experience with learning management systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of the sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
- Resilience in managing transactional administrative tasks associated with sales processes.
- Willingness to travel for on-site client visits, up to 25%.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is competitive and includes base pay along with potential incentive compensation. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications.
