Job Summary:

The City of Kirkland is seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Supervisor to join our Fire Department team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising administrative personnel, performing data analysis, and managing software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage administrative personnel in the Fire Department
  • Perform data analysis and management of software applications
  • Schedule, prioritize, manage, and review the workload of assigned staff
  • Closely track the performance of the team and ensure a high standard of service delivery to all customers
  • Oversee and coordinate assigned programs, tasks, and software applications
  • Assist the department's administrative staff with purchasing and timekeeping as needed
  • Develop, implement, and maintain business processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5 or more years of progressively responsible experience in data analytics, information systems, business systems analysis, or a related field
  • Excellent project management, planning, organizing, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and apply their contents to solving problems
  • Advanced skill in the use of Microsoft Office suite, including spreadsheet software and graphics capabilities
  • Ability to maintain confidences and routinely handle sensitive department materials
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, set and meet schedules and timelines while effectively coordinating multiple programs and projects
