Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee dock operations and supervise dock associates to ensure efficient and safe loading and unloading of freight.
  • Coordinate the activities of dock associates to ensure timely completion of tasks and meet customer requirements.
  • Establish and maintain control over the routing of shipments and loading/unloading of freight to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Develop and implement effective loss prevention plans to minimize losses and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Plan and maintain the layout of warehouse and storage areas to optimize storage capacity and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement work procedures and schedules to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Identify and mitigate significant risks to ensure the integrity of P&D loads and maintain a commitment to continuous measurable improvement.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a High School Diploma or GED, at least 2 years of dock or leadership experience, or completion of Southeastern's Management Training Program. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
