Nutrition Specialist 2 Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nutrition Specialist 2 to join our team at Loma Linda University Children's Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inpatient and outpatient nutritional assessments and reassessments, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to implement nutrition interventions, and providing specialized nutrition education to patients and family members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct nutritional assessments and reassessments for inpatients and outpatients
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to implement nutrition interventions
  • Provide specialized nutrition education to patients and family members
  • Participate in educating dietetic and medical students
  • Consult with physicians as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or a related field
  • Two years of clinical nutrition experience
  • One year of experience in pediatrics preferred
  • Certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD/RDN) required
  • CCS Paneling required within one year of hire date

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of clinical nutrition in the area of specialty
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work calmly and courteously under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Mathematical skills and attention to detail
