You will work closely with dietitians, dietetic technicians, and diet aides to improve performance standards. Additionally, you will provide in-services and lectures to clinical staff, mentor clinical dietitians, and participate in educating dietetic and medical students. You will also serve as a consultant for physicians and participate in out-patient group nutrition classes as assigned.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct inpatient and/or outpatient nutritional assessments and reassessments.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement nutrition interventions.
• Coordinate the nutrition care of patients.
• Provide specialized nutrition education to patients and family members.
• Work closely with dietitians, dietetic technicians, and diet aides to improve performance standards.
• Provide in-services and lectures to clinical staff.
• Mentor clinical dietitians.
• Participate in educating dietetic and medical students.
• Serve as a consultant for physicians.
• Participate in out-patient group nutrition classes as assigned.
Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree or Masters degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or Nutrition-related field required.
• Two years of clinical nutrition experience required.
• One year in Pediatrics preferred.
• Certification from Commission on Dietetic registration (RD/RDN) required.
• CCS Paneling required within one year of hire date.
