About the Role

Riverside Research is seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist to join our team in Mountain View, CA. As a Contract Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our Agreements' Officers in the solicitation, evaluation, selection, and award of Prototype Other Transaction Agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Serve as the subject matter expert for contract and budget-related issues, activities, and operations.
  • Technology Acquisition: Apply knowledge of relevant DoD technology acquisition and research services, as well as commercial best practices, to develop time-sensitive transition strategies.
  • Commercial Technology Evaluation: Assist with the evaluation and contracting of commercial technologies.
  • Solicitation and Award: Use knowledge acquired through extensive on-the-job experience to develop solicitation documents, create appropriate evaluation factors, review and analyze vendor submissions, and determine award recommendations.
  • Project Coordination: Organize work, set priorities, and determine resource requirements; determine short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinate with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitor progress and evaluate outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, 3 years with a Master's degree, a PhD without experience, or equivalent experience.
  • DoD Contracting Certification: DoD Contracting Professional Certification or Equivalent.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience as a Contract Specialist; Research & Development Preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR); sound written and oral communication skills; the ability to present complex matters clearly and simply; strong organizational skills; the ability to be proactive, take initiative, and follow through.
  • Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze a variety of data points (qualitative and quantitative) and whittle that information down to the most salient insights for the Portfolio's business needs.
  • Relationship Building: Understand the expectations of supervisors/stakeholders/teammates and develop strong working relationships to achieve shared goals. Build strong relationships with both external candidates and internal business partners.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools, including SharePoint.
