About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contract Manager to join our team at Coupang. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for structuring, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of contracts relating to our U.S. entities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contract Management: Lead and execute on a variety of contractual matters across our e-commerce business and corporate functions. You will be hands-on with end-to-end responsibility for contracts related to Coupang's U.S. entities.
  2. Global E-commerce: Provide legal support for our U.S. entities with regard to supply agreements, logistics agreements, and e-commerce compliance and regulatory issues.
  3. General Advice: Advise business partners as needed on a variety of legal matters, including employment, regulatory, IP, privacy, insurance, compliance, policies and procedures, and general risk and issue-spotting.
  4. Projects and Initiatives: Be willing to lead or support legal-related projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements
  1. Qualified, actively licensed lawyer in the U.S. with 4+ years of experience.
  2. Legal experience at a major law firm, or prior relevant in-house experience.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication skills in all interactions with senior management, corporate departments and all levels of employees.
  4. Exceptional ability to consistently deliver creative, thoughtful, and business-oriented results that appropriately balance growth and risk in a fast-paced environment.
  5. A willingness to learn voraciously and take on new scope and challenges.
  6. Ability to adapt easily to rapid and diverse business changes.
  7. Strong and effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  8. Sound judgment in developing and implementing legal solutions.
  9. Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects, ability to meet deadlines.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
  11. This position does require some minimal travel between locations.
