We are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Acquisition and Procurement Specialist. This position plays a vital role in supporting our Navy client in the acquisition and procurement processes.



Key Responsibilities:


The selected candidate will assist the AIRWorks SOCOM MTUAS Project Lead and the Acquisition/Procurement Lead by contributing to the planning and execution of acquisition and procurement strategies.

This includes the development of procurement initiation documentation, monitoring contract awards, and managing contractual actions.


The role involves collaboration with management and technical leads to facilitate both pre-acquisition and post-acquisition strategy planning and implementation.

Key tasks include supporting the preparation of Procurement Request (PR) packages, ensuring compliance with procurement justification requirements, reviewing Statements of Work (SOWs), specifications, and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs); coordinating with finance teams to secure funding for procurements; and tracking procurement packages through the approval process.


  • Collaborate with program, technical, and finance teams to develop requirements documents and funding profiles.
  • Assist in the preparation of Request for Information (RFIs), Market Research (MR), or Pre-Solicitation Synopsis documents.
  • Support the creation of Request for Proposal (RFP) packages, including SOWs, Performance Specifications, and CDRLs.
  • Conduct Procurement Planning Conferences (PPC) and develop Procurement Planning Agreements (PPA).
  • Contribute to the development of Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Plans, ISTRAP, MOPAS, and QASP documentation.
  • Assist in aligning acquisition strategies with overall program objectives.
  • Support the preparation of Justifications & Approvals (J&A), Certificate of Urgency (COU) Need Statements, and Determination and Finding (D&F) documentation.
  • Prepare various reports and spreadsheets for Program Management tracking purposes.
  • Present relevant acquisition information during Program Management Reviews or conferences.
  • Maintain organized files and data retrieval systems to support team members' access to information.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the Navy Financial Compendium and the NAVAIR/NAWCAD contracting process.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills and adaptability in a dynamic team environment.
  • Possess knowledge of the Department of the Navy (DoN) acquisition planning process and NAVAIR procurement documentation.

Good organizational skills are essential for this role.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.

Qualifications:

JOURNEYMAN:

A Journeyman level candidate should have 3 to 10 years of relevant experience and a BA/BS degree. This level typically involves performing all functional duties independently.


SENIOR:

A Senior level candidate should possess over 10 years of relevant experience and a MA/MS degree. This level often entails overseeing high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of programs and performing all functional duties independently.

Senior candidates may also supervise less experienced staff and be responsible for the efforts of all team members assigned to specific tasks.


Substitutions:
Relevant work experience may substitute for educational qualifications as follows: 6 years of additional experience for a Bachelor's Degree; 4 years of additional experience for an Associate's Degree; and 4 years of additional experience for a Master's Degree.
Education Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree or an acceptable substitution is required.

Security Clearance:
A Secret clearance is required (must be a US Citizen).

Work Environment:
This position requires on-site work. Some travel may be necessary.
