Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will assist our counselors, therapists, and nursing staff in providing clinical support to adults and children receiving substance abuse, mental health services, or co-occurring disorders in residential programs, inpatient settings, day/evening programs, outpatient programs, and community-based programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a positive helping relationship with individuals receiving services.
  • Assist individuals in completing activities of daily living, accessing needed resources, and building functional, pro-social relationships with others.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals receiving services.
  • Implement specific interventions according to individual treatment or service plans.
  • Monitor and document individual progress.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year of experience working directly with seriously mentally ill adults or completed one year (24 hours) of college classes.
  • Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record, and be insurable under the corporate policy.
Compensation

Base pay ranges from $16.12 an hour based on experience. Plus, shift differential pays $2.00 - $4.00 an hour if applicable.
